“I am the eldest and only child to my mother. I lost my mother as a child. My father married to another women and I was brought up by my grandparents. Since my grandparents are illiterate, and very poor I found very difficult to continue my education.

“I am Geetha Mary. I am the eldest in the family. My father is not mentally well. I had deep desire to study. Our family was depending on the income of my mother. My mother was working as a domestic staff in the school for very minimum salary which would not even support our food.

In this situation today I am a graduate in computer science because of the support of Child Aid Ireland-India Ltd. Thanks to the sponsors who made our dream come true. Now I am teaching computer in the school.”

“I am from a agricultural family. Agriculture in our village is only seasonal and it will not give enough income to our family. My parents found very hard to feed, clothe and shelter us. In this situation education is only a dream.

“I am Rosario from the village called Eleanganny. It is very remote and rural village where people work in the fields all the time. They are known for hard work but very little literacy in the village.

Today I have bachelor degree in Chemistry and doing masters degree. I will be a teacher in the school.”
